Perch Base USSVI participated in the Memorial Day Ceremonies at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, including Tolling of the Boats, on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Governor Joy and Howard Doyle conducted the Tolling of the Boats ceremony. The following photos are from the both the Memorial Day Ceremony and the Tolling of the Boats.

The entrance to the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. U.S. Flags bordered all the roads within the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Volunteers came to the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona prior to Memorial Day and placed over 109,000 small U.S. flags at every gravesite! Although the winds blew down some flags, Dan Marks and several other Perch Base members re-planted the flags.

The event was started with a flyover by three "Phoenix Stearman Guys" biplanes.

After the Memorial Day Ceremony, Perch Base conducted our Tolling of the Boats Ceremony in the Purple Heart Circle by the WWII Submarine Veterans Mark 18 torpedo.
