Ceremony
Four Perch Base Submarine Veterans (USSVI) Dave Hibsher, Dan Marks, Joe Trotter and George Woods attended the Honoring America's
Veterans 9/11/2001 Memorial & Tattered Flag Retirement Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Scottsdale Baseball Stadium
in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Keynote Speaker, Rear Admiral Craig Quigley (ret) discussed his experience at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Members of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Honor Guard also conducted a flag folding ceremony while Paula Pedene,
Executive Director and Co-Founder of Honoring America's Veterans, explained the meaning of each of the 13 folds. Paula also
discussed the Tattered Flag Project, which collects and retires worn U.S. Flags with dignity.
