On March 18, 2026, five members of the Prospective Commissioning Unit (PCU) crew of the USS Arizona Submarine (SSN-803) were welcomed at the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick for a ballgame between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago Cubs. LCDR McShane, the Navigator and acting Executive Officer (XO) was given the honor of throwing the first pitch!

Two Perch Base members were also at the game to welcome the crew. Paul Miller, who took photos, and Joe Trotter, shown above, basking (or is that melting?) in the sun. It was a hot day!
