OBITUARY
James (Jim) L. Wall , SKCM(SS) (ret)

The Perch Base Membership Chairman, Paul Miller, received a phone call from James Wall, Jr. informing Paul that his father, Perch Base Life and Holland Club Member James (Jim) L. Wall , SKCM(SS) (ret), had passed away 2 years ago.
Jim qualified in submarines on the USS Caiman (SS-323) in 1961 and was a SKCM(SS) when he retired from the Navy in 1976.
James Leroy Wall, age 87, went to be with Our Lord and Savior on July 14, 2023. Jim was born April 13, 1936, in Denver, Colorado. He was raised by his mother Goldie and father Claude Wall. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Linda, parents Goldie and Claude; daughters Wanda and Nita; and siblings Joe and Claudine.
Jim is survived by his children Jim, Jr. and Sandra, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed scuba diving, bowling, camping, fishing, and motorcycle touring. He and his wife Linda traveled to Europe, Germany and Switzerland. Jim served his country proudly in the United States Navy for 22 years and was proud to be part of the Silent Service Submarines, retiring as a Master Chief.
After traveling for 12 years, they decided to make their home at North Ranch in Congress in 1971. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and is already dearly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life with Military Honors was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 at Potter House, 213 W. Apache St.
