Gene Crabb, Cdr, USN (ret) was presented a "Quilt of Valor" by Ms. Helen Choma. Gene and his wife Suzanne
left the Phoenix area to Nebraska 14 months ago so he could spend his final months with his two daughters and their
families.
Gene had been the Captain of the USS Bashaw (AGSS-241) from 1966 to 1968, as well as the Executive Officer (XO)
of the USS Grayback (SSG-574), a Regulus missile boat, and the USS Remora (SS-487).
Perch Base was notified by Suzanne that Gene passed on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
His ashes will be scattered at sea at a future date.
