Perch Base Submarine Veterans (USSVI) and wives went to the 2021 USSVI National Convention held from August 30 to
September 04, 2021, in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Shingle Creek® Hotel, hosted by Central Florida & Snug Harbor Bases.

Lt. Julie Seiffert, submarine qualified, was the speaker at the Women's Lunch. She gave a nice presentation of her "sea story." We all enjoyed listening to her.

Pictures from the Awards Banquet on September 4, 2021. Rear Adm.Thomas R. "TR" Buchanan, Deputy Director for Plans and Policy, DJ5, U.S. Central Command, was the Keynote Speaker. Admiral Buchanan was previously in command of Submarine Squadron 20, in Kings Bay, Georgia and USS Albany (SSN 753) in Norfolk, Virginia. He also served aboard the USS Asheville (SSN 758) as a division officer; USS Florida (SSBN 728) (GOLD) as engineer officer; and USS Norfolk (SSN 714) as executive officer.
