Perch Base took the USS Phoenix float to the Black Canyon City, Arizona, Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 9, 2019.
They were so pleased to have us back that they have already extended an invitation for 2020.
Of course, the first thing we had to do was stop at the Rock Springs Cafe along our way for a slice of pie and a cup of coffee.

This gent along the parade route was wearing a Purple Heart cap from his Vietnam combat. I had to stop and say "Thank your for your sacrifice," and asked him if I could take his picture. We then saluted each other.
