Scholarship Presentation
Congratulations to the children and grandchildren of Perch Base members who received scholarships during the September 9, 2017 general meeting.

Nathaniel Tippett, Perch Base shipmate William Tippett's son, received a scholarship from Perch Base.
There were five applicants for the Perch Base Scholarship awards and the committee decided to give
scholarship money to all five.

The Arizona Submarine Veterans Perch Base (Perch Base) believes it is part of our
mission to assist, where possible, the dependent sons, daughters and grandchildren of
our members in pursuit of a post-high school education.
Although most of the kids were already away at school, Bill Tippett's son, Nathaniel, was
present to accept and say thank you for his scholarship.
Also, Christopher Urness, Jaid's father, read a thank you note from his son and Howard Doyle
read thank you notes from his grandchildren, Cameron and Jacen.
