Base webmASTER
The Perch Base Webmaster is responsible for the Base's presence on the internet. Currently, this is done on a hosted web page located at http://www.perch-base.org. The webmaster is an appointed officer, may serve indefinitely and is a member of the Board of Directors.
The web page is designed to, (1) attract new members to join Perch Base, (2) provide a one-stop shop for pertinent information for current Base members, and (3) Attract a general audience to submarines and activities of Perch Base. To these ends, the webmaster will:
Act as the sole interface with the web server company, currently Vario.
Ensure that, to the best of his ability, that the web page is current, accurate and relevant as possible.
Post information as directed by the Base Commander or decided upon by the Board of Directors.
Keep the calendar and "What's Happening" as up to date as possible.
Post as provided, items for sale as directed by the Base Storekeeper.
Ensure the web page is always in good taste and reflects the good name and ideals of Perch Base and USSVI.
