Veterans Celebration
May 15, 2010
Flagstaff, AZ
Staging for the parade was on a small Flagstaff street. The float stands rigged and it and Jack Moore are ready to roll.
Good angle shot of the float. This was the first time the side signs were attached to the their frames with snaps. Easy on, easy off -- and the frames ride attached.
We waited and took too many shots of the float ;)
Joe "Wanderer" Varese towed the float and had all the support gear stowed under the closed truck back.
Most of the attendees; from left, Jack Moore, Walt Blomgren, "Wanderer", Gudgeon Base's Ed Brooks and Rick Simmons.
The gold "thing" or whatever ran on ahead. What they won't think of for a Veterans Parade!
From the rear, Jack and Nancy Moore seem to be studying the float.
Ed Brooks moves to mount up.
Just ahead of us, a DPS group draws some attention.
Although just a bit smaller than last years, the people were very enthusiastic.
Now that's a couple that shows their feelings.
